Shova Bhagwati Temple In Kathmandu

One of the famous old hindu temple Shova Bhagwati  is known as the Goddess Durga, lies at the Bijeshowri in Kathmandu. It is believed to have been built in the Lichhavi period. It is believed that the Palanchowk Bhagawati, Naxal Bhagawati (in Kathmandu) and Shobha Bhagawati (in Kathmandu) are sisters and Palanchowk Bhagawati. It is very popular for the local people of Kathmandu, both Hindu and Buddhist.  There is big sacrifice and festivals in dashain.
This temple is also said to be a secret and rare Matangi  temple. Matangi is also known as one of the das Mahabidya. There is ten important goddess shaakti which is known as das Mahabidya.
