Dhunche in Rasuwa District


Dhunche  is located in headquater of Rasuwa District. Rasuwa is located in the Himalayan region which in the Bagmati Zone, in the distance of 117km north from Kathmandu. Rasuwa covers an area of 1,544 km². It covers mountainrange. It is inhabited Tamang people.  Tamang language and cultural activities is famous among tourists.
It is 115 kms Kathmandu to Dhunche. Tourist can travel by bus from Kathmandu, Kakani, Trishuli  to Dhunche.  Rasuwa is rich in Buddhist traditional arts and culture of Tamang community.  Langtang  is famous for festival  Gosaikunda  trekking .  The important attractions of Rasuwa are Gosaikunda frozen lake, langtang valley, langtang National Park, mountain view.  Langtang is non tourist trekking trail.   lantang trekking  region  is the third in ranking after the Annapurna and Khumbu trekking routes. Dhunche is entrance gate for the most popular pilgrimage site to Gosaikunda lake.
