High Mountain Trekking in Thailand


TRIP OVERVIEW

You will not go home disappointed from this full day trekking tour. You’ll experience lush rain forest and witness the amazing flora and fauna that makes Northern Thailand so special! This is a real jungle hike where it will be possible to see various animals and learn about the many edible plants found in the forest that are used in the local dishes. You will cross valleys, walk along ridges and possibly cross a few small streams while being shown the beauty of the northern jungle. After a full day of hiking you will be returned to your hotel possibly tired but very content!

ITINERARY

08.30 Meeting at your Chiang Mai hotel and transfer to the trek area (Vehicle transfer about one hour).
09.30 Arrive at our trek starting point, and start a beautiful nature walk, through some pristine forest.
12.45 Pack lunch on the way, in the jungle or village
14.00 Visit the village or continue trekking
15.00-15.30 Meet our vehicle for a transfer back to Chiang Mai
16.30-17.00 Drop off at your hotel

GENERAL INFORMATION

Fitness Level: Suitable for participants in good fitness condition, able to hike for 3 to 4 hours in undulating terrain.
What to bring on this day trip
For the trekking you will need a day pack. It should be filled with useful items for the day as suncream, sunglasses, a hat or cap, camera, etc… please bring a comfortable hiking rucksack.
Footwear: hiking shoes with ankles, or running shoes
Mosquito repellent, suncream
Take a good sun cream, especially during the hot season (can be purchased in Chiang Mai)
Bring a raincoat during the raining season and a fleece in cool season
Season
This trip is operated all year long, and each season is a different experience.
Best (coolest) season is from October to end of February.
During raining season from June to September the nature is beautiful lush green.
March and April are usually very hot and dry months.
