SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has highlighted a Singaporean parody of the Korean mega—hit "Gangnam Style", as a timely reminder to parents to let their kids have their childhood.
He said on his Facebook page on Thursday evening that the Singapore version, "Super Kancheong Style", is a reminder not to be so "kancheong", a Cantonese word for "anxious".
The video was produced by digital publishing house Tickled Media and uploaded on YouTube for Children’s Day on Friday.
Mr Lee said he enjoyed it and asked all children to "enjoy your day off!".
His comments came amid debates and concerns that parents here could be overzealous in preparing their children for examinations.
