Langtang Gosainkunda Pass trekking is popular trekking trails in Langtang region. The Langtang valley populated by Sherpa and Tamang families, lies to the northwest of Kathmandu valley. The valley is surrounded by high peaks of great appeal. This trek is popularly known as “Langtang Valley trek”, which passes through Langtang National Park. Right from Kathmandu starts Shivapuri mountain trek and follows Helambu Valley, Gosaikunda, Ganjala Pass and Langtang Valley. Popular places of Langtang trekking are Kyanjing Gompa and Tserko Ri. Trekkers who reach Kyanjing Gompa will make day excursion to Tserko Ri from where they can enjoy the best view of Himalayas.we can see Himalayan Lake , ancient mountain trail . Also find different domestic animals of Himalaya . You will experience the lifestyles of diverse ethnic groups along the trail , which follows ancient trading routes and passes through prosperous trading villages. The lake is also sacred to both the Buddhists and the Hindus. Glacier-fed Gosainkund lake is at the altitude of at 4300 meters. Thousands of Hindu pilgrims visit the lakes during the full moon festival in August. Gosaikunda is actually the largest of three main lakes the other two being Saraswatikunda and Bhairabkunda. Hindu legend has it that the lakes were formed when the God Siva plunged his trident (Trisul) into the ground in order to generate water. The Trisuli River begins from the lake and significantly carries the name “Trisuli”. Over the years this Gosainkunda has become one of the sacred pilgrimage sites for Shamans, the traditional witch doctors, as well as many Hindu and Buddhist devotees. A cross over the Laurebina Pass at an altitude of 4620 meter with an excellent view into Tibet is simply breathtaking.
