Gorakhnath Tour


Gorakhnath Cave : Gorakhnath Cave is the sacred cave temple of Gorkhanath, Ten meters below ten meters from the palace's southern side.  The cave is carved out of the solid rock and is among the most important religious sites for mainstream Brahmins and Chhetris of Nepal. Gorkha is also starting point of alternate few trekking routes in the region. Gorkha-Trisuli is an easy three day walk along unspoiled Nepal country side.

Gorkha is situated at scenic hill. It is small town with great historical significance of  Nepal, King Prithvi Narayan Shah  born. He unified the Kingdom of Nepal during eighteenth century. Gorkha is situated midway between Kathmandu and Pokhara, 25  kilometer road off the main highway . Gorkha can be reached in about six hours from Kathmandu and in about four hours from Pokhara. A side trip to Manakamana on the way to Gorkha is very enjoyable and interesting.
Ancient Gorkha town of Nepal is untouched and captivating . Nepal was divided into 50 tiny states.Gorkha is also one. King Prithivi Narayan Shah who is the founder of `Shah Dynasty'' Nepal today. His Gorkha palace resides on top of a hill at an altitude of 3281 feet (about 1000 meter) The King would watch-over his people as far as his eyes could see from the tallest palace in the very center of Nepal! Gorkha is also the home of Gurkhas - the legendary brave warriors who fought with knives against guns.
It offers panoramic Himalayan view  of Manaslu and snow-fed mountains with valleys. This  is a beautiful historical old palace known as Gorkha Durbar where  two important  temples of Gorakhnath and Kali . Only Hindus are allowed inside the temple of Gorakhanath
