UBANG JAYA: A man was seriously injured when his motorcycle hit a pothole in Taman Equine, Serdang, last Friday.
Bahardin Mohd Sohor, 67, who was on his way to a shopping mall nearby, fell from his motorcycle in the incident between 9pm and 10pm.
He is now in critical condition at Kuala Lumpur Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Bahardin, who is also Pertubuhan Kebajikan Insan Penyayang Malaysia (PKIPM) president, suffered blood clots in the brain, a fractured rib and an injured right eye.
His son Muhammad Izwan, 34, said the road was in bad condition and there were no warning signs or lights.
"My father was wearing his helmet and his motorcycle was in good condition.
"Eyewitnesses, who saw the incident, helped him, and he was sent to Serdang Hospital," he said, adding that doctors had to perform an operation on his eye.
On Sunday, Bahardin was transferred to Kuala Lumpur Hospital to treat the blood clots and fractured rib.
Izwan said he hoped that the pothole could be covered up as soon as possible.
"I hope the authorities will look into the matter and take the steps so that this will not happen again," he added.
