Pashupati NathTemple is  situated 5 km. east of kathmandu, the temple of Lord Shiva,Pashupati Nath.Pilgrims for most Hindus, the Pashupatinath temple holds special signification in Nepal.It is believed to be the head of Lord Shiva, whereas the body part is believed to be in Kedar Nath of India.  Lying on the banks of the Bagmati River. The temple was listed in the UNESCO World heritage  Monument list in 1979 AD.
 Hindus are allowed inside temple.Visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed in the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river. Thousands of devotees queue up for just a glimpse of the Lord everyday. On the occasion of Shiv Ratri the number crosses a million. Besides, there are temples of Lord Ram, Lord Bhasmeswor,Guru Gorakhanath, Goddess Guhyeswori, Vatsaleswori, Bageswori and Banakali .
