Kathmandu Marathon from Oct 13

The sixth edition of Real Kathmandu Marathon is scheduled to be organised in Kathmandu on October 13.
Organising a press conference on Monday, Nepal Amateur Athletics Association (NAAA) informed that some 3,500 athletes, including foreign athletes are expected to participate in the event that will feature men´s and women´s marathon, half marathon and 5-km open race.
The top three winners in both men´s and women´s marathon will bag Rs. 100,000, Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively. Similarly, other top 10 athletes will also be awarded with cash prizes.
The top three athletes in half marathon will bag Rs. 50,000, Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively while the top three in both the men´s and women´s 5-km open race will bag Rs. 25,000, Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively.
The total cash prize of the event is Rs. 746,000 and the total cost of the event is estimated at Rs 5 million.
The marathon will start from Dasharath Stadium.
