Hundreds of Hindu devotees turn up at Gokarna Temple on Bagmati River, to celebrate Kuse Aunsi - the Nepalese celebration of fatherhood. Nepali Father's Day is known as

Buwa ko mukh herne din . The day is also known as Kushe Aunshi during which ‘Kush’, a symbol of purity, is brought into the houses, marking the day as per the Hindu tradition. People in Kathmandu have thronged Gokarna Village to worship Gokarneshwor Mahadev, five miles east of Kathmandu today. People are seen thronging market places and buying gifts and favourite foods for their loved fathers in the Capital since early morning.
