Gokyo Valley Trek is one of the most popular trekking distnation for trekkers in Everest area.Gokyo offers to see you fifth lake , Sherpa Culture's,magnificent views of the mountain peaks and the Ngozumpa Glacier - the largest in the Nepal Himalayas. The trail to Gokyo has a network of small lodges which have recently seen big improvements in food and accommodation facilities. This now makes the programme ideally suited to lodge-based trekking. 
The highlights are many, the sensational Ngozumpa Glacier, one of the largest in the Nepal Himalaya, the lakes at Gokyo, and the side trek to the top of Gokyo Kang (5360m) where the views are the amongst the most spectacular in Nepal including four 8,000-metre peaks: Cho-Oyo (8153m), Makalu (8475m), Lhotse (8511m) and, of course, Mount Everest (8848m). This trek explores around the breathtaking Gokyo valley which is located adjacent of the Khumbu. 

Gokyo Valley Trek Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m.) 
You will be received by our representatives and will be transferred to hotel. After checking into our rooms, stay Overnight in hotel Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour.
Half day Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour of three places: Kathmandu: Swayambu Nath Stupa, famous hindu Temple of Pashupatinath and buddhist pilgrims of Bouddhanath Stupa , Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Phakding.
Early morning fly from Kathmandu to Lukla
,it takes 35 minuates scenic flight to Lukla continue trek to Phakding, which takes approximately 3 hours on the way you will have a view of mt Nupla( 5885m) Kusum Kangaru (6367m) and mount kongde range. Overnight in Phakding (2,652m).

Day 04: Phakding to Namche bazaar (3440m). 
Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail pases a waterfall. Ass day, we pass villages interspersed with magnificent forest- rhododendron, magniolia trees and giant firs. And on the way to walking you will be rewarded a view of tantalizing glimpse of Kusum Kanggru ( 6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest ( 8848m) Nuptse ( 7879 m) staying at Namche bazaar (3440m).

Day 05: Namche bazaar (3440m). 
Acclimatization day in Namche Acclimatization is most important before proceeding to a higher elevation. You can set off on a short day hike to Thame, Khunde ofr Khumjung or relax and explore the sherpa culture of Namche.

Day 06: Namche bazaar to Phortse Thanga.
Leave Namche along the direction of the gompa adn turn right afater the large rocks engraved with Buddhist images.The trek climbs the hill to Khumjung and descends to the valley of Dudhkoshi and arrives at Phortse Thanga (3,500m) which offers supreb views of Thamserku(6,608m), Kangtewa

Day 07: Phortse Thanga to Machhermo.
This will be another short day trek to aid acclimatization to the altitude.The path goes through the middle of forest and offers the first view of Cho you peak (8,153m), working , through rhododendron forest and juniper and large conifers appear as the elevation increases making the trekking beautiful in spring. The trail passes through kharkas and summer settlements to Dole after thatWe wil work across a rocky terrain scattered with a few dwarf rhododendrons. staying overnight at Machermo at (4,410m)

Day 08: Machermo to Gokyo Lakes.
The trail climbs a ridge for an excellent view both down the valley to Kengtega and up towards Cho Oyu and descend to a river and again climbs steep to the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpz glacier. A few lakes appear on the trail and finally reach to Gokyo (4,750m), which is a collection of stone houses and walled pastures on the shores of large lake. The mountain views in the Gokyo region are spectacular. A two-hour climbing on Gokyo Ri (5350m), the small peak above the lake provides panoramic views of Cho Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Lhotse, Makalu, cholatse and Tawache

Day 09: Explore around Gokyo Lake .
The excurtion to the Gokyo peak usually starts early in the morning. The climb is quite steep first 30 minutes, it will take you an hour to reach the top with its traditional prayer flags. From where you will have a magnificent view of highest peaks, from the west to east are Cho you (8,153m), Gyachung Kang (7,922m), Everest ( 8848m), Lhotse (8,501m) and further way Makalu, On the way to descent you can enjoy, superb view of Gokyo Lake.

Day 10: Gokyo lake to Dole:
Trek back to Dole

Day 11: Dole to Khumjung.
After breakfast we will work to Khumjung, Khumjung is the largest settlement village in the Sherpa land where you will have chance to see real Sherpas’ life style and there cultural activities, The village has also a high school which is funded by Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation and also an old monastery where they have preserved famous Yeti skull.

Day 12: Khumjung to Phakding.
The trail again drops to Namche Bazar and have a short tea/coffee stop and continue descending via same route and on the way stop for the lunch break an hour at Jorsale Village and continue work to Phakding.

Day 13:Phakding to Lukla.
Last day of the trek in a bustling town enjoy dinner with Your Trekking crew.

Day 14: Lukla to Kathmandu.

Day 15:Final departure, transfer to airport
